Tutor across the programming and physical-computing weeks. Came up through software, then learned to solder so the code had somewhere to go.

Idris came up writing software — a few years in tools and interactive graphics — and got pulled sideways into physical computing when a personal project needed a sensor instead of a mouse. That sideways move is most of why they’re teaching the on-ramp weeks: the creative-coding pillar in week 3 and the Arduino unit either side of the mid-semester break are pitched at exactly the crossing they had to make themselves, from “I can program” to “I can make a thing that programs the physical world.”
Runs the studio pairs in week 1, the two on-ramp pillars, and the week 11 clinic tracks. If a brief’s mechanics are unclear — what to submit, what counts as combining techniques — ask in session or by email; questions about whether an idea is any good belong at the crit, not in an inbox.
