Week 4 Lobby Lab: Stack against the clock
The whole class stacking camps to a called clock, then doing it while keeping a lane off its own tower
18 March 2027
What to bring#
Nothing. The tutor assigns each student a hero from the course pool that can clear a camp, so the class is not all stacking with the same hero and comparing identical results.
How it runs#
Practice mode, the whole class starting together. Stack as many camps as you can inside a fixed window, with the tutor calling the timings out loud.
The second round adds one constraint: keep your lane off your own tower at the same time. Most people drop one of the two, which is the interesting part.
How you know it went well#
You can say when you pulled, not just that you did — and if you dropped one of the two tasks in the second round, you know which and why.
Assignment 1 is due at noon tomorrow. This is the last chance to ask anything about it in person.
The spec
What the tutor is checking for by the end of the session — not that you understood the drill, but that you did it, in a form somebody else in the room could confirm.
- you stacked at least one camp and can say at what point you pulled
- in the second round you managed both tasks, or can say which you dropped and why
- you can predict the next camp spawn before it happens
