Marisol designed the course and the Engagement Signal Pilot case, and teaches the odd-numbered weeks — sessions and lectures for Weeks 1, 3, 5, 7, 9 and 11 — alternating across the semester with Idris. She organizes and marks the Alignment Lab in full — role assignment, the contact window’s rules, the live meeting, and the reveal — since she wrote the case and role cards it runs on; Week 9’s role assignment and Week 11’s post-reveal discussion both fall on her weeks for exactly that reason, even though Week 10’s reveal session itself is one of Idris’s. Because Week 9 is hers, she is also the one who reads first drafts of strategy memos before the Alignment Lab’s contact window opens — not for feedback on your position, but to check you’ve understood what the role card is actually asking of you — and she marks the Decision System Redesign. She is the final point of contact for anything Idris’s answer doesn’t settle, and for any question about how the course’s three assessments are weighted against each other.

Email for course-level questions — extensions, the assessment schedule, disputes about a mark after it’s returned — and use the weekly session itself for feedback on work in progress; a five-minute conversation in the room usually gets further than an email thread. If you’ve already asked Idris and still need an answer, say so when you write in, so the reply doesn’t start from nothing.
