Self-review#
I delivered the merchant export feature this quarter, from design to launch, and drove transparency across the team by posting daily progress updates in the team channel so that stakeholders always had visibility of where the work stood. I closed 30 tickets and merged 17 pull requests. I also ran the weekly demo slot for six weeks and wrote up the outcomes each time. My aim is to make the team’s work legible to the people who depend on it.
Peer feedback#
From Lena Fischer, nominated by Ravi. I always know what Ravi is doing. He posts every day, he demos every week, and the export feature is exactly what he said it would be. Working with him is easy.
From Hannah Byrne, assigned. The export feature was about two weeks of work, posted over eight. Each post was accurate. I just do not think there was a day in there that needed a post. He is a decent engineer and the feature is fine.
What the last manager left#
- Very visible. I always knew what he was on.
- Export shipped. Merchants seem happy.
- Posts a lot. Some of the team mute the channel.
The announcement#
None. The export feature launch was Ravi’s own channel post, which Renata reacted to.
