Self-review#
I joined the team in December and completed onboarding in mid February. My main project was the webhook retry feature, which I designed with Kenji’s help and shipped in March. It handles the retry cases that were causing duplicate notifications for merchants. I also built a small dashboard on top of Sofia’s reporting module to watch the retries. I closed 21 tickets, most of them onboarding tasks and bug fixes. I am still learning the codebase and I have asked a lot of questions. I would like to work on something bigger next quarter.
Peer feedback#
From Sofia Marchetti, assigned. Jonas is fine. I helped him in his first week and he has not needed much since, which is good. I have not worked with him directly on anything. The webhook feature seems to work.
Jonas did not nominate a second reviewer. He said he did not know who to ask. The second paragraph was not written.
What the last manager left#
- New. Seems fine.
- Onboarding took seven weeks? Check whether that is normal.
- Ask Sofia.
The announcement#
None. The webhook retry feature was mentioned in the product manager’s monthly update, without a name.
Where they sit#
Reports to your line. Four months in, the only person who joined after the old manager’s last full quarter. Nobody on the team has worked with him for more than a few days. Kenji reviewed his code.
