About Hey Show
Hey Show Karaoke is a karaoke bar two minutes' walk from Civic, open every day of the year. It's a dozen or so themed rooms under one roof, sized from a small booth right up to a VIP room for a 25-person work party, and it's a genuinely cheap night out if you go off-peak.
The rooms
Every room has its own theme — anime murals, comic-book wall art, neon-lit panels — rather than one generic layout repeated at different sizes, so a small group and a 20-person party aren't just getting the same room with more chairs in it. Each is fitted with newer, professional-grade sound and screen equipment rather than the ageing gear a lot of karaoke bars run on.
What's on the mic
The song library runs into the hundreds of thousands of tracks, spanning Chinese, English, Japanese, Korean, and more — enough that a mixed group doesn't have to compromise on language to find something everyone knows.
Food, drinks, and parties
Rooms are private, so it works as a family-friendly booking as easily as a night out with friends. Food, snacks, and drinks are available to order to the room, and for something bigger — a birthday, a bachelorette, a work celebration — rooms can be decorated on request.
