Canberra's first Chinese restaurant, opened by "Mr Happy" in 1962. His grandson Gavin runs it today — third generation, same basement on Garema Place.

In 1962, "Mr Happy" opened the doors to Canberra's first Chinese restaurant in a basement on Garema Place. Six decades on, his grandson Gavin still runs it from the same spot — and a mural of the Great Wall, painted by a former chef, still looks out over the dining room.
