LAB is one room that does two jobs: a café through the morning and a bar by evening, a minute's walk from the middle of the ANU campus.

Mornings run on espresso and brunch — eggs, pancakes, a nourish bowl — served until mid-afternoon. From 3pm the kitchen switches to burgers, loaded fries and bar snacks, the taps open, and the same room settles into somewhere to sit after class or after work.

What you'll find

Coffee

Espresso through to filter, plus chai, hot chocolate and a proper tea list. Iced and blended drinks when Canberra turns it on.

Kitchen

Brunch cooked on site each day, leaning on fresh and seasonal produce, with vegan and gluten-free options across most of the menu.

Bar

A full-service bar from 3pm — beer from light lagers to dark stouts, with tapas, burgers and bar snacks to go alongside.
