About ANUISA
ANUISA is a student-led organisation for Indonesians at the Australian National University — and it's open more widely than that name might suggest.
Membership isn't limited to Indonesian nationals. ANUISA describes itself as open to "everyone... Indonesian students and anyone with an interest in Indonesia," and frames its role as a home away from home for Indonesian students navigating study, work, and life in Canberra.
Four kinds of activity make up most of ANUISA's calendar:
Structured chances to meet other students and build the kind of contacts that help after graduation.
Indonesian festivals and traditions, marked together rather than alone, far from home.
Conversations on Indonesia — politics, history, culture — that continue in Highlights' Roundtable Talks.
Lower-key meetups for the weeks without a headline event.
ANUISA's Expert Series and Alumni Life features exist because of standing relationships with other student organisations, the Indonesian embassy, and professional networks across industry and research — the same connections that bring guests like ASPI's Gatra Priyandita or Ambassador Dr Siswo Pramono into Highlights.
The full membership list is on Members — 74 students across every ANU college. Joining takes one email.
