Forty-five years of keeping print open
Megalo started in 1980 as a screenprint cooperative, at a time when youth unemployment in Canberra had climbed above 20 per cent — print as a skill worth having, not just an art form. It later absorbed Studio One, the city's etching and lithography press, which is why Megalo is now the only studio in the country offering screenprint, lithography, relief and intaglio in one building.
