instead is a mailto: link, three of them actually, which felt
like the cleverest thing in the world at the time: an email
address that was also a button. this predates yahoo groups by a
couple of years, back when running a mailing list meant setting
up your own inbox rule and hoping people remembered to reply to
the list and not just to you.
