Hi, I'm Stella. This is a small guide I put together after my own first year in Stardew Valley, written for anyone who is picking up the game for the first time and would like a gentle starting point rather than a strict optimal strategy.
The guide focuses on your first spring, and it is written on purpose to be relaxed. Stardew Valley rewards patience far more than speed, so nothing here assumes you want to min-max your farm or hit every possible milestone in year one. It is fine to go slowly, miss a few days of watering, and just enjoy being in the valley.
There are three other pages here. My Farm covers practical early-game farming: clearing a small plot, choosing a manageable number of crops, and not burning yourself out on energy or bad weather. Villager Friends covers simple, low-pressure habits for building friendships with the people in town. And if you would like to see what other visitors thought of this little guide, there is an archived Guestbook as well.
About the Webmaster
Hi, I'm Stella — just a player who spent a cosy first year in the valley and wanted to write down what worked for me. No grand farming empire here, just parsnips, a few good friends in town, and a save file I'm still fond of.
