The Message Board

Eleven regulars, one unclassified variable star, and an aperture argument that will outlive us all. Messages are listed newest first, with follow-ups indented underneath the message they answer.

Please note: the follow-up script stopped working when my host moved servers in January, and the new host does not allow CGI on free accounts. Until I find somewhere else to put it, e-mail me your follow-up and I will add it by hand — usually within a day or two. My address is at the bottom of the about page, written out in words so the address harvesters cannot read it.

It is not ideal. It does mean every message on this board has been read by a human before it went up, which has quietly improved the tone.

The archive script went down with the CGI, and I am afraid these subjects are all that survived of the 1997–98 board. The message bodies are on a Zip disk somewhere in the shed. I will get to it.

Post a follow-up (temporarily out of order)

This form is switched off because there is nothing at the other end of it — see the note at the top of the page. It is left here so you can see what you are missing.
