Virtual Life 3

Virtual Life 3 is a life-simulation game built around a Monopoly-style board. Its protagonist, A-Fei, was abandoned as a baby and adopted by Leisi; he enters a virtual world, tries different occupations, and searches for clues about his own origins.

[O] Author gameplay observation

In the author's own playthrough, changing relationships with the game's four heroines never produced a clearly different ending, and A-Fei's origins were never fully resolved. That's one player's experience, not proof of every possible outcome.

[E/I] Disconnected heroine endings

The installed files still hold a heroine-ending subsystem — dialogue, artwork and selection code. Three heroine scene groups appear substantially complete, while a fourth references missing image material. The normal ending path in the current release does not call this system. The surviving files and disconnected call path are confirmed; why the system was disconnected is not.

[E/I] Broken relationship routes

Some relationship events wait on state flags that the surviving scripts never appear to set, including one needed for a Fengling-route event. That may help explain why parts of the romance routes stall, but it does not by itself explain every ending.

[E/I] Partial mini-games

Two named mini-games survive only as code traces — their labels remain, but the resource files needed to run them are absent from the current installation. They read as unfinished work, not complete hidden games.
