Week 12 Session: The Small-Account Survival Rulebook
A drafting session for the Personal Market Rulebook, synthesising the whole semester
Session
10 May 2027
A synthesis session: drafting time on the Personal Market Rulebook, working back through every instrument the semester covered rather than learning anything new.
What you’re given
Every trade plan and calculation you’ve produced since Week 5: position sizing, margin and margin calls, futures margin, option payoffs, and the crypto comparison — plus the rulebook’s required elements from the assessment brief.
What you do
Work instrument by instrument in reverse, from crypto back to the first stock order in Week 2, drafting a rule for each: whether and how you’d use it, and at what size. Check the rules against each other, not just each instrument on its own — an account-level risk cap has to hold even when more than one position is open at once. Draft at least one condition under which you’d stop trading altogether.
What you produce
A working draft of the Personal Market Rulebook, with a rule for every instrument the course covered and at least one stop-trading condition written down.
Why it matters
What leaves this session is a draft, not the final submission — the Rulebook itself is due at the end of the teaching period, and this is the only session built to give you time on it.
The spec
What you bring to the session. Written so a reader can tell whether it has been met without asking you.
- drafts a rule for at least one instrument from each of leverage, futures, options and crypto
- drafts at least one explicit stop-trading condition
