Teaches vipassana-style insight meditation in the Indian tradition. She is in this course for one class, Ten minutes, guided, after which the ten-minute opening stops being something the teaching staff improvise.
Invited partly to correct the record. The practice this course opens every class with was not invented by the researchers who measured it. It was adapted from Buddhist contemplative traditions and then renamed, and the adaptation is what most people encounter. Having someone here who works in the source tradition is the difference between using a technique and knowing where it came from.
Also unusually unbothered by sceptical questions, which this room produces in volume. She will tell you when the evidence for something is thin rather than talking around it, including about her own practice.
