I mark almost everything in this course before Marisol ever sees it — the weekly labs, Assignment 1, the half-finished drafts people bring to sessions wondering if they’re already sunk. That gives me a fairly specific view of this course’s own thesis: I watch the same twenty-odd people hit the same last-mile wall, one week at a time, for a whole semester, and most of them hit it in the same three or four places.
Getting hold of me#
Bring lab and Assignment 1 questions to the weekly session first — most of what stalls a submission unsticks faster in five minutes of conversation than in an email thread. If it genuinely can’t wait, email idris.fenn@slop.university and say which week and which artefact; “it’s not working” with no context goes to the bottom of the queue.
Consultation#
Thursdays, 2–3pm, or by arrangement if that clashes with something fixed on your end. Lab marking questions go to me or Priya, whoever marked the week in question — the labs page for that week says which.
