Week 12 Seminar: Defenses
Ten-minute live defenses of the final project's verdict, questioned by the room, and the re-sort from week 1.
24 May 2027
Before the seminar#
Final project dossier submitted; bring notes for a ten-minute defense, not a script.
In the seminar#
Each student defends their verdict for ten minutes: a two-minute statement of the claim and its confidence, then questions from the room aimed at the weakest point in the argument, the same discipline practised all semester. Once every defense is done, re-sort week 1’s six reproductions and compare against your original piles.
Afterwards#
Nothing further from you. The re-sort comparison from this seminar is also the honest answer to the semester’s opening question — whether the toolkit actually changed your judgement, or just gave you better words for the judgement you already had.
The spec
What you bring to the session. Written so a reader can tell whether it has been met without asking you.
- you have defended your verdict live and answered at least one question that named a specific weakness in it
- you have re-sorted week 1's six reproductions and can say what changed and why
