Week 12 Seminar: The Stranger Test

The Capstone studio. A stranger's episode meets your bible, and every contradiction is a gap you get to fix.

26 May 2027

The technique#

The stranger test checks a bible by handing it to someone who has never heard of the universe and asking them to write into it. Whatever they get wrong, the bible failed to say. Every bible sits this test the day a new writer joins the room, whether anyone calls it a test or not.

In the seminar#

Sit with your stranger and go through their outline against your bible, one scene at a time. Each contradiction goes in the log, with the gap in the bible that caused it. Then swap roles. The repairs are yours to make before the Capstone is due.
