Elena spent a decade as an investigative reporter before the newsroom’s research desk started asking her to fact-check its own writers’ AI-assisted drafts. She teaches week 9’s workslop session and mentors the week 12 case presentations, where her only fixed piece of feedback is the same one every year: a report that isn’t legible to a stranger isn’t finished yet.
