Week 11 Tutorial: Compare Two Designs
Given two base designs aimed at different goals, explain the purpose of their differences.

Before the tutorial#
Bring last week’s save. Both comparison designs are supplied at the start of the tutorial.
In the tutorial#
Examine both supplied bases, work out what each one is actually optimising for, and explain how specific choices in each layout serve that target.
Afterwards#
The distinction between optimising for output and optimising for speed carries directly into Week 12’s TPS work.
The spec
What you bring to the session. Written so a reader can tell whether it has been met without asking you.
- each design's actual optimisation target is correctly identified
- at least three specific design choices are tied back to that target
- the comparison doesn't just declare one design "better" overall
