Marisol spent eleven years in automotive human factors before moving to teaching, most of it on instrument-cluster and telltale design for two mass-market manufacturers — the unglamorous end of the industry that decides what a driver sees in the half-second before they decide whether to pull over. She designed this course after one too many arguments about whether a warning light needed to also chime, and got tired of losing the argument to “that’s what we shipped last year.”
Office hours are Tuesdays 2–4pm, by drop-in or booked slot. Use email for anything that needs a considered answer or touches your mark; use the weekly studio for feedback on work in progress — it’s faster for both of us and other students often have the same question.
