Yu has spent enough years behind a camera to know nobody watches a video where nothing happens, and nobody remembers a trade where nothing was risked — the whole secret of Crossing 2, learned on a channel with more subscribers than the university has students. They think in beats before plans — cold open, complication, payoff — and will ask about your trade the way they’d storyboard it: what you wanted, what you offered instead, and the bit you’d cut if you only had thirty seconds. A boring report-back isn’t a bad grade waiting to happen, in Yu’s book. It’s a sign the trade needs another pass.
