The second session — the instance you named in week 1 meets a skeptical room for the first time

Before the session#

Bring the instance from week 1, plus one historical precedent that demonstrates the same underlying dynamic — Chayanov’s peasants, a guild ladder, or an equivalent case predating the term’s viral currency.

In the session#

Short reviews, followed by structured feedback addressing whether the instance constitutes involution proper, rather than ordinary effort. The room retains the right to reclassify your pitch.

Afterwards#

An instance that survives a second round of scrutiny is considered sufficiently robust to carry into Assignment 1.
