Volibear top,
tested end to end
This playbook demonstrates the standard expected for any chosen champion. It avoids patch-fragile damage numbers and records conditions that can be re-tested.
Open the complete matchup atlas- Primary job
- Create a reliable first commitment
- Failure signal
- Entry spends every exit resource
- Review unit
- One decision, one condition, one revision

Loop 1 · mechanics
Train a chain with an exit
| Phase | Success condition | Failure to watch | Revision |
|---|---|---|---|
| Approach | Q route reaches the target without crossing unnecessary threat zones | Target keeps distance or interrupts the approach | Change angle, preserve Q reset, or abandon |
| Trade | E zone and first W create a favourable health or wave exchange | Second W window cannot be reached safely | Take the short trade; do not pay for the re-cast |
| Commit | Enemy escape and key denial tool are unavailable | Target can disengage after Volibear commits | Hold ultimate or convert pressure elsewhere |
| Exit | A path remains after the final damaging action | Trade wins damage but loses the next wave or life | Shorten sequence and leave earlier |
Drill gate: twenty clean repetitions in a controlled setup, ten under movement, then a partner test. Missing the gate sends the drill back one level.
Loop 2 · matchup
Make “counter” testable
Use the same six fields for every opponent. The answer can change; the evidence trail must remain readable.
- 01Threat
Name the exact interaction that denies your plan.
- 02Condition
Record level, wave, items, side, cooldowns, and jungle pressure.
- 03Response
Choose one movement, timing, setup, or resource change.
- 04Evidence
Link a controlled reset and a match timestamp.
- 05Rule
State when the response works and when it does not.
- 06Re-test
Schedule the trigger: patch, failure, or changed opponent plan.
Try it · scenario composer
Build the next Volibear test
Change the conditions. The composer gives you a protocol sentence to take into a custom lobby.
Loop 3 · global decision
Carry lane knowledge onto the map
Crash or draw pressure, then arrive first
Next two waves, objective timer, enemy collapse routes
Choose side value versus group value before showing
Teleport, safe collector, allied engage, vision line
Protect reliable income and deny the easiest enemy conversion
Wave loss ceiling, cross-map trade, peel value
In a teamfight, declare the job first: engage, disrupt, peel, zone, or threaten a flank. Review whether the job was correct before reviewing the mechanical execution.
Mastery gate
A rule earns “mastered” only when…
- the controlled test can be reproduced;
- the response appears in a full match;
- the rule survives a changed condition;
- the student can explain the opponent's counter-response;
- a future re-test trigger is recorded.
