Pick a library, then drag across the gold to draw the time you want. Half an hour or two hours, whatever suits — you are not stuck with a fixed block. Availability here is mock data for a design concept, not the real thing.
Choose a library
Date
This prototype shows today only. The real service takes bookings up to 14 days ahead, caps a single booking at 2 hours, and may release a room if you are more than 15 minutes late.
How to read the timeline
Each block is half an hour, and the grid runs 8am to 10pm. Gold means you can have it; a single booking can run up to 2 hours. The five libraries keep different hours, so where one shuts earlier than the grid, its later half hours are dashed out rather than gold.
FreeSolid gold, and the only thing you can draw on. Start a drag here.
TakenGrey and hatched, labelled Booked. Someone else has the room; a selection stops rather than jumping it.
ClosedDashed and empty, labelled Closed. The library is shut then, so no room can be booked — a different thing from taken.
YoursPale gold with a gold edge, labelled Yours. A booking you already hold.
SelectingFilled black while you draw, until you confirm or cancel.
