heal.io (Dec 2019 - Jan 2020)
An AI-powered health assistant built to help with everyday health
issues -- something like Siri, but dedicated to healthcare. Enter
your symptoms, answer a few brief questions, and get a potential
diagnosis with home-remedy suggestions. It also helped locate nearby
doctors and book appointments, across 24 common health conditions.
The average Indian visits a doctor 8 to 9 times a year, despite a
poor doctor-to-patient ratio of 1:1000, often waiting around twenty
minutes for a very brief appointment -- the goal was faster, more
accessible guidance for minor concerns.
== how it works ==
List symptoms directly, no chat interface needed. A trained model
identifies the likely condition and suggests remedies, with output
available as voice or text.
== built with ==
Python, JSON, NumPy, the Random module, NLTK, gTTS (Google
Text-to-Speech), and TensorFlow as the core machine-learning engine
mapping symptoms to conditions. Health conditions and responses were
stored in structured JSON files, processed by the model in real time.
