The Underground Archive
Welcome to the underground — stay determined — welcome to the underground — stay determined —
This is an unofficial fan archive for Undertale, the 2015 role-playing game written, composed, and mostly programmed by Toby Fox. You wake up in a cave beneath a mountain, share the Underground with monsters who were sealed away by humans centuries ago, and decide — fight by fight, choice by choice — who gets to keep breathing. The game keeps a running tally of every one of those decisions, and it does not let you forget them.
Nobody has to die. That is the sentence the game leads with, and this archive exists to catalogue the characters, places, routes, and lines of dialogue that make good on it — or don't, depending on what you chose to do with the button that was always sitting right there.
