Example Chart (排盘示例)
A real Bazi chart lays out four pillars — year, month, day, and hour — each a heavenly stem paired with an earthly branch, eight characters in total. The illustrative chart below is not drawn from a real birth date; it is picked to show all five elements at once. Each character carries a colored tag for its element, so you can read the balance (or imbalance) of a chart at a glance, the same colors used on the Five Elements page.
| Year 年柱 | Month 月柱 | Day 日柱 | Hour 时柱 | |
|---|---|---|---|---|
Reading across: the Year stem is Metal, its branch is Fire; the Month stem is Earth, its branch is Wood; the Day stem is Wood, its branch is Earth; the Hour stem is Fire, its branch is Water. All five elements appear, which is why this chart was chosen for the example — a real chart is rarely this evenly spread.
