Character & location bible worksheet

Week 5 · Building a consistent world

Print this page using your browser. Repeat the character and location sheets as needed. Write on paper or use these headings in your own document; this page does not save entries.

Fields are scaffolding, not additional grading criteria. Images are optional. Resolve necessary pending details before calling an entry complete.

1. Character entry

Week 5 · Bible worksheet · Page 1 of 3

Project / character / entry version

Role and representation

On screen, voice only, display name; which scenes?

Age, build, hair and distinguishing feature

Use concrete detail. Mark genuinely inapplicable fields with a reason.

Wardrobe and voice where heard

Specify the chosen details or reference.

Fixed facts / allowed action changes

Keep identity separate from what happens in a particular shot.

Reference and unresolved decisions

Reference file/version; what must be selected before this entry is usable?

2. Location entry

Week 5 · Bible worksheet · Page 2 of 3

Project / location / entry version

Repeat this page for each location.

Story time and spatial relationships

Where are people, surfaces and important props relative to each other?

Lighting and fixed landmarks

Agreed source/direction of light; features that orient the viewer.

Costume, prop and visual-style references

Identify selected references and the decisions to preserve.

Fixed facts / allowed changes

Distinguish the room and props from planned changes of state.

Unresolved decisions / affected shots

What remains undecided? What must be updated if the reference changes?

3. Peer review and completion

Week 5 · Bible worksheet · Page 3 of 3

Author / reader / entry version / reader familiarity

First read: choose a classmate who has not seen the project.

Independent account of the protagonist

Write before the author explains. Mark unspecified facts as unknown.

Compare account with the entry

Cite words: contradiction, omission, ambiguous or missing detail?

Revision and reason

Repair the written entry where needed; do not rely on oral explanation.

Second reader / familiarity / result

Use a fresh reader if possible. Label an informed retest honestly.

Original completion criteria

Entry for every named character and location, with concrete repeatable detail; unfamiliar classmate correctly describes protagonist from the entry alone. Name remaining gaps.
