Sef Amaral comes to this course from a background in contemplative and somatic practice, not from a philosophy department — which turns out to matter, because inducing an experience on purpose and then noticing it without immediately theorising it are learnable skills, not given ones. Sef runs the weekly practicum sessions: setting up each week’s induction safely, keeping the noticing period free of premature interpretation, and holding the room for whichever weeks turn out to need more care than others.

Sef is also the first point of contact for anything raised by the policies page, particularly around the grief practicum in week 11.
