Callum spent a decade building editor tooling — first a Vim autocomplete plugin nobody used, later a ranking layer for a commercial code-completion product that shipped to a few million editors. He tutors the weeks on code completion and the technical build in Assignment 1, and he is the person in the room most likely to point out that a suggestion feature’s hardest problem is almost never the model — it’s deciding when to interrupt someone mid-thought.
He marks labs the week they’re submitted, not the week after, and reads every prep note before deciding what to focus a lab’s opening ten minutes on.
Consultation#
Lab hours cover implementation questions. If a question is really about the lecture rather than the build, it usually gets a better answer from Priya — say so and he’ll point you at the right week to ask it in.
