Dr. Whitfield completed his doctorate in computer science at Carnegie Mellon University before a research placement with the United States National Security Agency, the specifics of which remain classified. He joined Slop University’s Cybersecurity Research Group after several years in private-sector threat research.
His current work addresses execution triggers, persistence mechanisms and the detection engineering built to counter both, and he tutors Weeks 1 through 6 alongside Professor Al-Fulani.
