Alec convenes the course and sets its weekly programme. They work on the history and theory of personal computing environments, which is a respectable way of saying they have thought too long about status bars. Their own setup has been declared finished on at least four occasions.
Come to them with questions about the shape of the course, extensions, and any choice you are trying to justify and cannot. They would rather you defend a strange decision well than make a safe one you cannot explain.
