Where the routing runs out#
- the queue is the one part of the building nobody designed
- what fills the gap — a magazine rack, a card reader, a stranger who talks to you — is the one thing in the store that wasn’t planned
- notice it before the machine at the end of it takes even this away
The queue against the checkout#
Everything the queue leaves unrouted, the checkout at the end of it will try to route again.

- name what you were made to look at while you waited
