Synthetic tone chart -- week 10 pack A small synthetic tone chart, not a photograph. It exists to make one specific claim checkable by hand: block-averaging genuinely destroys information inside a non-uniform block, and a common upsampling method (bilinear interpolation) fills the gap with a smooth guess that is not verified against anything until it is compared with the retained source. source.svg, degraded.svg and restored.svg are the three images to compare. pixels.csv has all 64 cells for all three; feature-table.csv has just the six named features this pack asks you to check by hand; labelled-features.txt is the same six features as accessible text. reveal/analysis.md names what this specimen omits and a conclusion it cannot justify. Open it after you have written your own feature table.
