Re-encoding experiment -- week 3 pack
Hypothetical values, supplied to practise experimental design. The score below is an invented composite, not a physical measurement, and it was not produced by a real encoder. Conclusions drawn here are about experimental reasoning, not about codec behaviour.

the-comparison.txt is the comparison you have been handed, and the claim
someone drew from it. band-deviations.csv has the raw numbers for that
comparison and for four other conditions run at the same time.

measure.txt says how to turn eight band deviations into one number, and how
much the measurement varies when you repeat it. The totals are not supplied:
computing them is the measurement.

protocol-template.txt is the shape of what you are writing.

reveal/ says which comparison is sound and which is not. Open it after you
have written a protocol and a prediction.
