Week 10 Studio: Sourcing your artifact's provenance
Tracking down and evaluating whatever community record exists for your own chosen artifact
10 May 2027
Before the studio#
Bring whatever you already know about where your artifact’s files came from — even “I don’t actually know” is a valid starting point today.
In the studio#
Working from week 10’s method, you’ll search out forum threads, wiki history, and upload notes connected to your own artifact, and assess what they actually support versus what they merely assert.
Afterwards#
Whatever you can’t verify by the end of today should be written into your recovery notes as an open question, not quietly dropped — the exhibit and report are stronger for naming it.
The spec
What you bring to the session. Written so a reader can tell whether it has been met without asking you.
- you have located at least one community source discussing your artifact
- you have noted one point where that source's claims can't be independently verified
