The best-of-three

Week 12

The last week is the assignment

Five of you. A drafted series against another team.

And an account afterwards of what decided it.

No hero this week — again

In week 1 it did not matter who you picked.

Now it matters completely: this week’s heroes are the five your team drafted.

Defending that choice is part of what you hand in.

How the series runs

A tutor coaches. Captains Mode. Best of three. A review afterwards.

The details live on the Assignment 4 page and the policies page.

This deck only points at them.

A review is not a story

Decision points

Not a narrative of the game.

A few moments, each answered the same way:

What did you know? What did you choose? What would you choose now?

Every week was one decision. The review form is the whole course, run backwards.

Reading a patch note

Figures move. Decisions sometimes do.

This course is pinned to 7.41f. The game will not stay there.

What you learned was never the numbers.

It was how to tell a change that moves a decision from one that only moves a figure.

Most move a figure.

The five resources, one last time

Gold. Experience. Time. Space. Information.

In week 1 it was a list of ours.

Now every cell is filled with your own examples from twelve weeks.

The habit that outlasts the course

Review.

It is the only thing in this course that keeps working after the course ends.

After this week

Name three decisions you had reasons for — and one you did not.

Read a patch note and say which of your decisions it changes.

Decide what to practise next, without being told.
