APPLIED HUMAN CAT CARE

Week 11

Keeping the Nest

What does personalised care require after the model has already been built, tested, and repaired?

CARE MODEL · MAINTENANCE OPENED

MIRA CARE RECORD v1.6: repair filed back into long-term care

not finished — maintained

A nest is maintained, not finished.

A care model that was useful yesterday still needs attention today.

reviewed W9

updated W10

still true?

Maintenance is more than accumulation

More history does not automatically mean a healthier model.

KEEP ADDING — new memories, new preferences, new routines, new failures

thicker ≠ wiser

MAINTAIN — check: old assumptions; prune: inactive traces; revise: changed patterns; preserve: useful failures

connected, not just collected

What needs maintaining?

Maintenance is a care practice, not just a storage policy.

OLD ASSUMPTIONS — Still true?

MEMORY — Keep, hold lightly, or let expire?

ROUTINES & CONVENTIONS — Still active?

REPAIRED FAILURES — What did this failure teach the model?

UNCERTAINTY — Still genuinely unknown?

not a software checklist

Mira’s nest has history

The history is useful because it is connected — not because every old note still has equal authority.

MIRA CARE RECORD · ACCUMULATED

not equal authority

OLD PREFERENCE — quiet decompression after hard days — conditional now

ROUTINE — Friday late-night check-in — review: inactive?

SHARED CONVENTION — “nest” = ordinary care space — kept

W9 FAILURE — agent gave space when Mira asked for company — trace retained

W10 UPDATE — check current request before old pattern — model v1.6

UNCERTAIN — is this a new stable pattern? — watch next time

Some things stay. Some things fade.

Pruning is part of care: the history stays, but its authority changes.

STILL ACTIVE — asks directly when she wants company — recent useful pattern

NEEDS REVIEW — quiet decompression after hard days — still useful, but conditional

NO LONGER USEFUL — Friday late-night check-in — routine no longer happens

prune authority, not history

Repairs should leave traces

If you erase the failure completely, you also erase the reason the model changed.

OLD RULE — space first

FAILURE — asked for company; got space

REPAIR — named the miss

UPDATED MODEL — check current request first

TRACE RETAINED — why v1.6 exists — archived as useful evidence

A repaired failure should not disappear from the record.

Continuity is a practice, not a state

There is no final version. The model stays useful by remaining revisable.

CHECK — old assumptions

MIRA CARE MODEL v1.6 — maintained, not complete

CARRY FORWARD — useful traces

PRUNE — inactive routines

UPDATE — changed patterns

A nest is made of repeated things.

Continuity is a practice, not a state.

Knowing a cat means continuing to notice what has changed, what still matters, and what you still do not know.

KEPT — what still helps

REVISED — what changed

STILL UNKNOWN — what remains open

NEXT WEEK · KNOW YOUR CAT
