Designed Advanced Involution’s twelve-week arc on the theory that the best way to teach a concept about escalating effort is to build a syllabus that does it in front of you. Ran the odd-numbered weeks’ seminars for two years. Took six weeks’ leave in the founding year; the seminars ran anyway — covered, at his own offer, by the then-tutor — and ran again the next semester without being handed back. The review that followed found the convening role under-utilised and declined to renew it, citing the coverage arrangement as evidence the course could be delivered without it.

No longer holds office hours or a teaching load. Retained on the record as the person who set the arc still in use, and as the first finding this course ever produced: that being covered once is indistinguishable, on paper, from not being needed.
